CHILD NUTRITION ARCHIVES

The Child Nutrition Archives (CNA) at the Institute of Child Nutrition (ICN) was funded by Congress in 2003. The CNA’s mission is to collect, preserve, and make available to researchers materials related to federally assisted child nutrition programs. For the convenience of on-site researchers, the Archives reading room is open weekdays during regular business hours, and staff members are available to assist researchers as needed. Upon request, the Archives staff will conduct limited research into the collections for off-site patrons.

MANUSCRIPT COLLECTIONS

The CNA manuscript collections contain multiple elements of child nutrition operations, including government documents, correspondence, regulations, production records, training materials, recipes, newspaper and magazine clippings, lunch tickets and tokens, and other school foodservice related items. Full inventories of many of the collections are posted on the ICN website.
