We are excited to share recent content captured from an amazing partnership between Nation’s Restaurant News , and Ventura Foods - The MenuMasters Spotlight Series. In the first release of the series they interviewed Chef Preston Clark, Executive Chef at Lure Fishbar in New York City, NY. The NxtGen Network team had the honor of playing a part in the telling this story and it’s a privilege to share the end product with our community. Dining at Lure Fishbar is an experience unlike any other. On the corner of Prince and Mercer streets, down a set of concrete NYC steps that lead to a lower level restaurant are two wooden doors, complete with porthole windows. As you enter, you are immersed in an unexpected up-scale nautical atmosphere complete with high-end beverages and quite- possibly some of the best seafood dishes you’ll ever taste. Beyond the great food and incredible atmosphere is a team that is dedicated to creating an unforgettable experience. At the helm is Chef Preston whose enthusiasm and passion are matched to the incredible talent he has in his kitchen.

Preston shared this unique insight, passed down from other chefs, during his interview with Stacey Ballis, Contributing Editor for Nation’s Restaurant News, “Running a restaurant is really like a team sport... once you can communicate with someone on their level you can get them to do what you need them to do, and also improve their technique and their craft on the way up.” Stay tuned for more on this series as they continue to release conversations with chefs from around the country.
