The Dept. of Ed. expands Websters definition of innovation as this: Innovation is based on curiosity, the willingness to take risks… questioning and challenging the status quo. Having been raised on a farm where only beef was on the dinner plate, Deeply Rooted was born with Innovation in its company DNA. Questioning not only the ‘whys’ but more so… the ‘why nots.’ • Why not have a clean label plant based product that is shelf stable which not the only reduces power use but volume of diesel used for shipping? • Why not partner with larger K-12 manufacturers to deploy further accessibility of great tasting plant based products to schools that can’t scratch bake? • Why not create an add water soup for those with no cooking capabilities at all? • Why not challenge each Director to look at menu inclusion and let the kids choose how they want their plate to look? That’s innovation to us.
