Julian Restaurant A former lawyer, banker, and world traveler with a keen eye for property development, Julian H. Lifsey, Jr.’s legacy is still very much alive in Tampa Bay –– especially on Rocky Point –– where The Current Hotel and his namesake restaurant, Julian, now sit. When he acquired Rocky Point Island, it was still mostly dusty, shell-covered roads and vacant waterfront land. As the owner of this untapped gem, he was determined to redefine the island and breathe new life into the community.
