It is so easy to allow the daily grind of working in the kitchen to distract your focus and we can overlook obstacles that make our days more difficult. If there has ever been a time when we need our days to be less stressful, it is now. As a former school nutrition manager, Ervin shares from his experience, different ways to approach barriers created by people and by processes that make it difficult to be as productive as possible. Ervin Watson is a husband, father and decorated veteran of the US Air Force. He has been training and inspiring teams for over 25 years but found his passion when he started working in school nutrition in Atlanta GA in 2005. He currently serves as Nutrition Coordinator for Douglas County Schools. Since his school nutrition introduction in 2005, he has gone on to train and inspire at the local, state and national level. He has twice been selected as a Senator Richard B. Russell Leadership Series Presenter at SNA’s Annual Conference and he is currently working with SNA on their Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. His distinctively diverse background and upbringing gives him a unique perspective that has been beneficial to SNP organizations across the country. So why does he stay so busy? Because he absolutely loves what he is doing!
