Ashanti Moore – 24 yrs. SB/PB: 22.31; World Ranking #16 The new national 200m champion ran a gutsy final in Kingston but did not achieve the qualifying standard for 200m. She made up for it soon after in Austria with a sparkling 22.40, then a 22.31 in Hungary. A medal in Tokyo will take a 21 point run, but it is well within her capabilities.

Dejanea Oakley – 21 yrs. SB/PB: 49.65s; World Ranking #27 Oakley’s progression from a standout at Clarendon College to NCAA podium contender reflects a rapid and ongoing rise.
