This year, members of GENYOUth’s National Youth Council —including Suraj, Aidan, Kyra, Shirley, Kenzie, Cameron, Jade, Rohit, Roselyn, Riley, and others—presented at conferences and leadership convenings nationwide, helping inspire educators, partners, and decision- makers to recognize the power of youth voice in shaping healthier school communities. They shared perspectives at these (and more!) national conferences and meetings: • Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics • Food Research and Action Center • Food as Medicine • Iowa Hunger Summit • Pennsylvania School Nutrition Association • Action for Healthy Kids USDA Healthy Meals Summit • Feeding America • GENYOUth Super School Meals Kick-off in San Francisco • GENYOUth Board of Directors Youth voice takes the stage.

Making a difference in their schools.
GENYOUth’s National Youth Council members are empowered to implement health and wellness projects in their own schools, positively multiplying their impact beyond the classroom and into their local communities. Their projects are focused on Nutrition and School Meals or Physical Activity. Among the common themes: • Establishing nutrition education lessons and programs. • Increasing access to and participation in school meals. • Eliminating or reducing barriers to participation in sports/physical activity at school.
